Denver International Airport is the largest airport in Colorado by far. With almost twenty-five million employees, it's obvious they see a lot of volume. Also, being an international airport, they serve the world community as well as nearby residents. Simply being at the airport will give you something to do. Should you be waiting for your next flight, or picking someone up soon, you can enjoy the art on display, learn the history of the airport, or partake in the Airport Scavenger Hunt to help you pass the time until you're ready.

Public Art is on display throughout the airport and Denver International Airport was one of the first airports in the nation to integrate this practice into their construction. Knowing from the start, that airports are an excellent venue with lots of spare wall space, the Public Art found everywhere was incorporated into the halls and breezeways. Not only is art on display, but multiple exhibits can be seen annually. Artists can have their collections featured in very prominent locations along moving walkways and in terminal waiting areas. The airport will often call artists to participate in rotating exhibits, and even some permanent installations.

Unique to the Denver International Airport are the multiple Scavenger Hunts you can try while you wait ranging from thirty minutes to an hour long depending on how quick you are finding the objects. There are four tracks named Jeppesen Terminal, A Gates, B Gates, and C Gates lasting forty-five minutes, thirty minutes, an hour, and thirty minutes respectively. On the scavenger hunts, you will look for things like an astronaut statue, the contents of a time capsules, the color of a hanging jet, and a musician playing live. If you're with a group, this could be a very and relaxed way to learn the layout of the airport, as well as kill some time.
